Department (DFW Area), who was killed in the line of duty on 12/28/01 in an on

JOHNS, MICHAEL M. " MIKE " was born August 21, 1956 on Air Force Base in

California and was killed in the line of duty with the Coppell Police Department

on December 28, 2001. Graduated from Duncanville High School in 1974. A

phenomenal man with a wonderful sense of humor, Mike was very caring, played

guitar and lived his life long dream of being a police officer, in addition to

being a loving husband and father. Mike is survived by his wife Gale s;

daughter s and her mother, Hastings; parents E.C. and

Frances s; sister, Gail s; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Kris

Ingersoll; nephew and niece, Jake and Ingersoll; brother-in-law, C.

Elliott; uncle and aunt, Elzie and Jackie McCann; aunt and uncle, Hazel and E.O.

Hargraves and cousins, Gloria and Larry Kirkpatrick. Memorial Service will be

10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at Grapevine Fellowship Church, 2450 N.

Highway 121, Grapevine, Texas 76051. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until

8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorials may be
