splitting HC pills in 4's?

I am starting low on HC (2.5) so I need to cut my 10mg. pills into 4

pieces. However, everytime I do this with my pill cutter, there is

lots of crumbling. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are some pill

cutters better than others? Thanks!
