The Doc. is right. Pro-time (INR) should be between 2 and 3.

What I don't understand is: yours is 2.3 and you don't seem to be happy.

BTW the frequency of the tests depends on the result.

Sometimes, with no known reason, the result changes and then

the Doc. suggests to check more frequently.

Not a real enjoyment but for the time being it is necessary.

There is a faze III test (IN research) for a new drug which

hopefully will make the test almost unnecessary.

Hang on there and let's hope that everything will work

out to our benefit.

Happy Holidays to you,

Ervin

Coumadin check ups

I just started it and my level is 2.3 and doctor says it should be

between 2 and 3. I am going again Friday to get tested. How often

do I go for this? Every week for the rest of my life? I'm on 34

years and this could be quite a time cosuming this if that is the

case.

Here in the UK your levels are checked every six weeks, that

is if they are stable.

You could be on this for a very long time depending on what

treatments they have in store for you.
