Guest guest
Here is a question from a lurker who has been absorbing so much useful information and advice from all of you....I have a question about my son Adam, who has had ulcerative colitis and chronic pancreatitis for many years. He has been relatively asymptomatic for a long time due to a variety of meds and changes in his lifestyle, nutritional habits, etc. Now, sometime in the next year, he and his wife are thinking about starting a family, and he is thinking about trying to go off the 6-MP, due to the possibility of birth defects. In the past, we have searched for research done on this topic, but we haven't found much definitive information. Have any of you been through this decision and thus have some advice? Do any of you know of any research being done on 6-MP? (I guess might be the one to consult ?????) We'd appreciate any tidbits of advice from the group. Thanks so much..
