Guest guest
On behalf of EMSAT Board and Members we extend our hearts and prayers to Chris Hanger's wife Patty, family, friends and co-workers. Sincerely, EMSAT President on County Paramedic Death It is with great saddness that I make this posting. Hanger, a Paramedic with on County EMS passed away on Thursday Dec 27, 2001 after an initially victorious and always valiant battle with cancer. was a former lawyer practicing both privately and as a member of the County District Attorney's Office, Texas Atttorney General's Office and various other state agencies including serving as Gov. Mark White's Assistant General Counsel. He joined the Jolleyville Fire Department 13 years ago as a volunteer FF/EMT. He found the work of helping people directly sure beat the hell out of being a lawyer. In spite of the disbelief of his legal colleagues, abandoned the parctice of law and became a full-time Paramedic with on County EMS, described by as the best job he ever had. Tops of his vast array of interest was his passion for Winston S. Churchill, of which he wrote and lectured on! is survived by his wife Patty Hanger, many relatives and friends and coworkers too numerous to count. Visitation will be on Sunday Dec 30, 2001 @ The s Funeral Chapel in town, Texas from 5-7 with a ry at 7pm. Mass will be at 2pm on Monday Dec. 31, 2001, at St. More Catholic Church, 10205 Ranch Road 620 in Austin, Texas.
