Guest guest
The best thing you can do for yourself is to go back on phase one for even a couple of days to get rid of the cravings you are having. I had, to. I only did it for 3 days and the cravings are gone so I am going back on phase II today. Your day is NOT shot. Not ever. If you mess up, you start on the next meal, or RIGHT NOW! Don't wait til tomorrow, don't wait til Monday or after that special event. Start now! So you had a piece of bread, continue on. Next meal, PLAN! What will you eat that is phase one. Go through the files, look up recipes on the net for phase one. There are a lot of great sites with great recipes. You can look for things you love to eat, even snacks. Then when you want something, make it. Gummy worms are a great one (just like sugar free jello jigglers, but put in a packet of unsweetened jello which makes them sour, slice into worms). You can eat a whole batch of them and still be okay. Find stuff you love to eat, and then you won't want the junk food. You really do sound like you need to detox though, to get those bad things out of your system and stop the cravings. You can do this. You want to, that's obvious, so just do it, but PLAN! Write down what you want, make a visit to the store. Get foods you really like, and get rid of the junk in the house that you don't need. We can all do this together. Carol Help! I am sooooooooooo out of control! I am gaining weight back. I am eating wildley even though I actually was doing great. Every day I pormise myself today I'll stay on SBD. Every day I blow it. I just ate bread & butter at 6 in the morning. I NEVER eat at 6, muchless bread products. But now I can see the day as shot.I have gained back probalby 6 pounds or so Nothing outlandish. But I am depressed about my weight daily. I actually eat stuff like candy, which I do not even like.I don't know what the heck to do. I do NOT want to gain any more. In fact, I want to lose more.HELP!Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Do you plan you meals and have snacks ready to grab so you dont have to prepare anything. These were all things that derailed me the last time. I gave up and have since gained 10 lbs. So DONT give up. Go back to Phase I until the cravings are gone, and be kind to yourself. Take hot bubble baths, read a great book. Do something you love that doesnt involve food. If the bad stuff is just screaming at you, go take a walk. Youll feel better. By the way, remember me, because in about 10 days (toward the end of my phase 1..again..) Im going to probably have the same crisis. Hang in there! You can do it! Amy
Guest guest
My isp is being wierd. The date on this post is Thursday, and I'm just getting it on Sunday. I've seen replies, but had no clue as to the original post. Stop beating yourself up. You are trying to learn a new way of eating, and you will have trouble at times. First of all, get all the foods which are not allowed out of the house. Let the other members of the family eat it, or throw it in the garbage. Once it's gone, you will not be able to eat them. Next, go get a bunch of the Foods to Enjoy. If you like cheese, get a variety of cheeses. Cut up the food into muchie-sized bits to have on hand. Now whenever you get the wild urge to eat, you will be set with healthy foods that will promote your weight loss. --- Ann You spend your life fighting dirt, and when you die they bury you in it. hayakawa@...
