If you don't use the windows program then you'll go mad or >die. It's up to you! Well, maybe this makes me a wishy-washy fence-sitter, but despite the fact that I've been a Mac evangelist since 1992, I have taken the " double your pleasure, double your fun " option, and now have 2 computers, a Mac *and* a Windoze box. I tend to use the PC for most of the net stuff because it's faster (this just being because it happens to be a newer PC; my Mac is definitely in the dinomac category) and also because there are so many websites which have inconsiderately been formulated in formats that only work for Windoze users...such as the eGroups chat site, for one. Sites that were created in Micro$oft Front Page tend to look really lousy on Macs. It's just part of the great effort towards Micro$oft World Domination Despite the fact that it's a 7500 from 1994 or so, I use ol' Vox Dominatus, the Mac, for most of my graphics and for extended writing efforts. I much prefer the way MacOS handles files, and really detest the Windows registry. On Windows, I accumulate huge amounts of unidentifiable files with names like KWBVM.DLL and have no freakin' clue what program they belong to or if I can hose them or not. Which is why you have to actually uninstall programs on Windows...with a Mac I never have to do that. It would be neat if there WAS a 12stepfree chatroom...We could use IRC or ICQ because both of those are available for both Mac and PC. Not sure if the Mac version of ICQ allows group chats, come to think of it. I'll try to find out if there's enough interest. -dmt demitria monde thraam transmits at: http://thraam.com
