Guest guest Posted September 7, 2001 Report Share Posted September 7, 2001 I've followed your conversation about uncomfortable sex, and the emotional issues aside (I can totally relate to these!), endometriosis can also cause discomfort or pain during sex, and you mentioned you have this too. I also have endometriosis (probably pre-Asherman's, since I complained about discomfort during sex well before was born, saw an OB who mentioned possible endo and said we'd keep an eye on it and we forgot all about it), and now I'm wondering about the BCP's you're taking for this: do you understand how BCP's can control endometriosis? Since I just recently got diagnosed with this, and know nothing about it, I'm a bit concerned. My doctor has been rather vague about it, he does not seem to be interested in endometriosis, and I guess there was a very small bit that was removed during my surgery. Perhaps it's just so common, and in light of my other problems, it's not really a concern, other than it can cause some infertility (in other words complicate matters). But I would like to know.
