.. The Coumadin is wreaking havoc with my stomach.

Hi Kitty

Why did they put you on Coumadin, instead of Lovenox, Heparin, or

one of the newer Anticlotting medications?

I was on Lovenox for at least a month after my bilateral knee replacement

surgery 10 years ago.

Coumadin can be hard to regulate in some people, and has so many

possible adverse problems.

Have they been checking to see if your Coumadin level is within

therapeutic range?

I'm glad that everything else is going well with your knee replacement

surgery.

Have you tried putting a shower chair, or bench in your bath tub so

you can bathe easier. A small hand rail is a good idea too.

I used a bath bench that simply fit across the tub, and they was

easily removed afterwards. It was wonderful when I could finally

sit in the water again.
