Guest guest
YES! My hairdresser told me it's from using suave or dove or any kind of moisturizing shampoo. I switched to TGel for two weeks. She has me rinse with Sea Breeze antiseptic acne medicine and not rinse it out. I'm going to a dermatologist in a couple weeks to have it checked. I'm wondering if this is a side effect of any of the meds I'm on. Ellen Ellen-Hangin in > Lori wrote: Itchy scalp sores. My hair was finally starting to grow back, now this! Scabs, sores, nutty itching. Even have these in my eyebrows! Flaky eyebrows and some flakes on scalp. Mostly itchy, burning small sores! Guest guest
I don't know what this could be. You could try a shampoo like tegrin which is a coal tar shampoo. Dollar General has a generic version. It's taken care of my husbands eruptions that also itched all on his head. If that doesn't help, you'd better go to a dermatologist. Hope it gets better quickly. Guest guest
Lori, Please go see a dermatologist. I have folliculitis on my scalp, face, arms, chest and sometimes legs. My symptoms sound exactly like yours. I have a prescription cream for everything but the scalp. He had me switch to an antibacterial soap. He recommended Safeguard over the others. And I use a special shampoo. When my scalp is under control, I switch to other shampoos including those with moisturizers. There are many different causes for folliculitis. There are also many other things it could be. A dermatologist will be able to help you. > Lori wrote: > Itchy scalp sores. My hair was finally starting to grow back, now this! Also getting small sores on face and arms. Unsure if related.
Guest guest
Have you consulted a dermatologist? It could be psorisis or eczema. I have had the later on my scalp and almost everywhere but below my knees. Try getting some teatree oil and applying it on your spots. As Vit e and pure lavender oil will help. Hope you are doing better soon. Hugs, Tami > Lori wrote: > Itchy scalp sores. My hair was finally starting to grow back, now this! Scabs, sores, nutty itching. Even have these in my eyebrows! I use dandruff shampoo with aloe, in it but I am not a Doctor, so hope you are okay. My hair falls out also when thyroid is low. Good luck.
