Guest guest
Look in your area and see if you have some sort of ethnic market. We have two huge Asian supermarkets in my area and the produce there is literally half the price of my regular supermarket. Not to mention that they have a much wider variety of produce. I went there last week and found 6 different kinds of eggplant. Very cool! I'm going to my regular supermarket less and less. I go to BJ's (a warehouse club) for many of my SB items (Splenda, LF cheese, meat, seafood, veggies, beans, oils, eggs, milk, etc.) I personally prefer BJs because they package their products in smaller containers AND they take manufacturers coupons. I'm lucky enough to have a producejunction near where I live and usually most areas have a producemarket or someplace where they sell in bulk and cheaper. If anyone isin or near Philly I would be happy to tell you where they are.NickyFrom: Ann I'm sorry to see that the price of tomatoes is high everywhere. Sometimes Ithink that food prices are high just where I live.-- Fish and visitors stink after three days.http://whisper.at/carrenoReminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Guest guest
I agree whole-heartedly. All ethnic markets I've been to are cheaper than the big stores. We have Asian, Mexican and Persian markets around me. Great deals. Maureen > Look in your area and see if you have some sort of ethnic market.
