Guest guest
After having paroxysmal AF for about 5 years, I have decided to move to the next level of my treatment. Currently, I am taking Atenolol on demand when I have an episode, and I also take a 81mg aspirin each day. I am moving towards an ablation procedure, but am willing to trying the rythum control drugs. Can anyone on this board reply with the drug they are using that has kept them in NSR for a period of at least 1 year after having paroxysmal AF for a period of time. Would appreciate any comments. in Vancouver
Guest guest
- I was on 200 mg of amiodarone daily but I also would purposely skip a day often because as u know it is a fat soluble drug. I had thyroid toxicity- kidney issues- and lost 16 pounds in 2 weeks (I am not overweight) I ended up in the hospital- took close to a year for be to FULLY recover. But there are others on those drugs and the same drug w/o problems- everyone is DIFFERENT!! I personally, would never consider any of those drugs or even " first cousins " of those drugs ever again- not an option for me!! -Ronnie
