wendy i feel the same way. my pulse rate is in the 80's and i feel really hot.

I have started reducing t3 , from 80mcg to 50mcg. someone told me that t3 is

used mostly to heat the body but that is not necessary in the summer so you need

less t3.

last week i was very tired, hot but the strange thing is that i slept well for

the first time.

I also cannot handle that hot weather but this has been the case before I

started T3. With T3 I did notice that I would sweat more almost like a hot

flash. This was last week when we were in the 90's with high humidity. This week

the sweating like a hot flash has stopped and it is now in the 70's no humidity.

But I do believe if one is taking too much T3 or other thyoid med you will get

too warm.

I do too Venizia. I was getting that and also heart symtptoms. I recently switched to srt3..and those lessened alot, but then I got hypo symptoms of swollen head, throat, toungue, stiff neck...so what to do? Val? I added 2 25mcg to the srt3 yesterday, and the swollen syptoms were helped alot..not 100 percent, so it might take 2 days to go away, right?

Heat intolerance is due to adrenal weakness mroe than anything. Low

sodium as well. people with normal adrnal function do not have these

issues on T3 only.

I am really beginning to wonder if I am on enough cortef(27.5) or florinef(1

tab). I can't get good temp reads these days because I am so hot. Should I

just try inching up a bit on the cortef and see how I feel? How would I know if

I need to go higher on the Florinef? I don't think I have reached my right

level of t3 yet, but the ferritin issue is getting in the way of that.

Thank you,

I'll start with salt - seems easier. :-) But, if I want to try raising florinef

I just increase little by little and see if I feel better and stop if I swell

more right? Other than feeling better, is there any other way to measure if I am

on the right amount of Florinef?

Thank you,

If you raise Florinef do it in 1/4 tab incrememnts and hold each

increase at least 10 days, or more. If you have worsened fluid retention

or high BP thne you kno it is too much.

So, Val, what do we do for these issues? Do we lower our T3 during summer time

or drink salt water and how much?
