plastizode heel insert

Could someone tell me where I can get plastizode heel inserts?

Amelia is going to move up a shoe size soon and I know we will need

some help keeping her heel down the new larger size. Thanks,

Dorothy,

You can call Don Shurr at the American Prosthetics office at the

U of Iowa. I think that they would be willing to send you the

plastizode inserts or that they can also ship the shoes out if you

can tell them what size is needed. They also keep shoe size records

of the children treated in Iowa. His number is and

they can ship you the next size in the shoes when you need them.

There are also probably orthopedic shoe stores in Hawaii that might

know how to do the plastizode insert. I had gone into a local

orthopedic shoe store here in Las Vegas and they carried the Markell

shoes style #1644 and said that they knew how to install the

plastizode in the heel as well.

You could also take the plastizode out of the older shoes and reglue

it into the new shoes. We have occasionally had one of the inserts

get loose and have reattached it with rubber cement.

Thank you . I think I will call Don Shurr. The orthotics

place where I get Amelia's shoes hasn't been so helpful with fitting

them properly. When I asked for the inserts they weren't really

familiar with them and after much pressuring said maybe they might be

able to make some. They haven't been that much help other than

supplying the shoes themselves. The tips I have gotten from this

group have helped me so much is fitting her shoe properly (and
