Guest guest
As mentioned in a previous post, I had a really tough time keeping my meds at the proper temperature on my road trip cross-country. At home, I keep a supply of small bottles of water in my freezer and another supply in my refrig. When leaving the house, even if its just to go to the super market, I have developed the habit of carrying one frozen bottle and one refrig bottle in a two pouch cooler. I was OK on the start of my trip because I had several frozen bottles - but once you're on the road living out the car or pitching a tent in temperatures of 112 - even the huge bags of ice (which I stopped and bought almost daily) - melts rather quickly. I had my separate cooler with the meds in it - and I was packing ice constantly in that cooler and checking on the meds. Leaving the car for any length of time, such as the Zoo or Seaworld, or any place for that matter, gave me concern. There were many times, when I lugged that particular cooler around with me - and it was a nuisance! There's got to be an easier way ................ Just a reminder to everyone - *do not* leave your meds in a hot car! Ellen (NSR on Dofetilide)
