Guest guest
Adrienne, No. I thought of it, since I have bad rosacea-type rash on my face nad eyes, but my labs don't support it. I just thought that since you have autoimmue issues, inflammatory myopathy seems a more likely DX than mito. Thanks, Mike > Mike, > thanks for the link. Guest guest
Mike, I have the rosacea-like rash too on my face too, lately its been getting worse also. My drs just say i fit mito more than the inflammatory myopathies and i have researched both and i definitely fit mito more. i dont believe my problems are autoimmune, or if they are, they are what caused me to get alot worse these past few yrs (ive had mito symptoms since i was a baby). maybe my mito just got worse as i became an adult though, i dont know. all i know is i do seem to have a few autoimmune like symptoms (mainly the arthritis and skin problems) but all the rest of my symptoms are mito symptoms- im going to be very suprised if i dont have mito. anyways, thanks again for the suggestion. what do your drs say about the rash? thats what made mine think lupus, not blood work, but the butterfly rash and arthritis along with my multiple organ problems and muscle problems. but i no longer think it is lupus or any other autoimmune disease. i think the arthitis is from hypermotility and the rashes is just from extremely sensitive skin. anyways, this is getting long. thanks again. take care, adrienne
Guest guest
Patti I sent Mike a card but think you said he was being discharged Tuesday. Will he be able to get them. Funny when people look forward to having a BM or passing gas. Same thing happened with Larry - until that hapens they are not able to have solid foods. Not that it matters with Larry as he has no appetite - has lost 20 lbs. I asked him if he was sure that the surgeon hadn't stapled his stomach as well. ( a little humor) Mike is certainly doing great. Now relax and enjoy the new life you will have. Leona
