Guest guest
Hi , The last time I spoke with the gentleman at Farmingdale to help with information in our Helmet/Band Database, he confirmed that they offer the NICband at that location. I don't recall his name, but I got the impression he was in charge there. This was a while ago. The NICband is a Starband that the ortho there calls a NICband. It's an FDA approved, active band. Have you been to the NICband website? It's a nice website. Here's the link: www.nicband.bigstep.com The Hanger company sometimes offers their own Hanger Cranial Band at their facilities, or the ortho may choose to order a Starband (called a NICband at that Farmingdale location.) Things change, though, so do let us know if you find out that your baby's band is indeed a Hanger Cranial Band instead of the NICband. That will help keep our database accurate! I hope things are settling in for your baby and the band. This is a very supportive and informed group, so continue to post any questions or concerns. Happy rounding!
