Guest guest
Recently I began having shooting pain radiating from my upper back to my right shoulder and down my arm then into my hand. My pinky will experience pins and needles only. I had an MRI done which showed problems all over my back, but the main area that concerns me is C5 through C7. More specifically C6-7 says: " There is moderate to severe disc/osteophyte complex, bilateral uncovertebral joint spurs and mild to moderate bilateral degenerative facet disease. Severe bilateral neural foraminal stenosis. Mild to moderate spinal canal stenosis. The AP dimension of the spinal canal is 7.5mm. " The above is repeated in other areas as well, but this one shows the smallest canal opening. Could the above be related to the pain I describe? And is it odd to have the pain skip the upper arm and go straight to the forearm from the shoulder? Which disk area would effect the pain I'm describing if C6-7 does not? I'm seeing an IME this week. With what I described here, is there any way a 30 year experienced doctor could flat out say that I couldn't be experiencing the pain described? Thanks for any help.
