Guest guest
I did too, with the first dose of T3. My feet used to be so cramped in the mornings that it hurt to walk. That has improved probably 80-90% as well as feeling sick all the time. Unfortunately my second dose of T3 is keeping me awake at night so I will have to reduce the dose again. I am down to 89 mcg now as I had to decrease when I decreased my protein and carb intake and upped my fat (according to Broda this is the easiest way to lose weight). I have been on a high protein diet for several years and have been able to drop 9 lbs since starting the high fat diet (cheeses, veggies, meats, lots of cream). -- Re: Natural Iodine For Thyroid Health I did have a resolution of my fibro symptoms...like by 90 percent!...with the first cycle of TRT3. Guest guest
Yes. It is typical. The borderline ketosis diet is know for facillitating weight loss. You restrict the carbs and eat fat so the carb storing process gets diverted into burning fat as fuel. It is not an easy diet. I don't know if it is high in saturated fats or not The only thing I really changed is dropping many carbs and upping fat intake, like drinking cream flavored with cinnamon, adding heavy cream to my yogart, eating whole milk cottege cheese, using heavy whipping cream mixed with balsmic vinegar for salad dressing topped with bacon................... ....... http://www.biblelife.org/ketosis.htm I recall in my nutrition class, that this diet was used for epileptics and was similar to diabetic diet except it excluded more carbs. Broda book has several pages of how to do the diet. I like it that I am not hungry constantly like I used to be. -- Re: Natural Iodine For > Thyroid Health > > I did have a resolution of my fibro symptoms...like > by 90 percent!...with > the first cycle of TRT3. Guest guest
Hi Mo, I know how you feel about the weigh gain and how it makes you miserable. I have gradually gained over the last few years. I know if I gain it, it will never come off. Anyway, I have a wonderful doctor who has helped me through the adrenal burnout and thyroid problems. I was feeling much better except for the extra 20 pounds that made me miserable. So she agreed to give me diet pills to help me lose it. She said that she didn't want me to lose more than 15 so that my hormones wouldn't get out of wack. I have lost about 10 and seem to be stuck here but I feel so much better with that and my whole outlook on life if better. I do eat well and exercise too so that helps. I have found when I am really busy and don't get in the exercise I will gradually gain again. So exercise is so important. beebe > > > In a message dated 31/07/2007 17:14:11 GMT Daylight Time, > phonicity@... writes: > > Broda this is the easiest way to lose weight). Guest guest
Broda says if you eat high protein diet, you need much more thyroid supplementation than on higher fat diet. I dropped my protein intake too. I now need much less T3 but I thought that was due to my having been on IV antibiotics (I discontinued after 2 days, could not tolerate the high dose). I felt much better after the antibiotic IV but am starting to feel crummy again. However, I am able to exercise daily. So not high protein and very low carb. That means I eat a lot of avacodos too. I have tried raising my veggie intake. My carb source is fruit. -- Re: Natural Iodine For Thyroid Health In a message dated 31/07/2007 17:14:11 GMT Daylight Time, phonicity@... writes: Broda this is the easiest way to lose weight).
