Guest guest
High pulse MAY be from low aldosterone rather than low cortisl. Have yo uhad it tested? Florinef has brough my pulse down a LOT. I had a pulse around 120ish fo rthe last 5-6 years and now it is in the 70-80's. The only way cortisl affects your pulse is by how it is affecting thyroid so taking your HC should raise it if anything. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
" High pulse MAY be from low aldosterone rather than low cortisl. Have yo uhad it tested? " For some reason my pulse has been much better today, since I have increased the HC. I haven't had aldosterone checked. My pulse never gets really high, just around 80-85. I will have to check my bp sometime when my pulse is that high and try salt water. The fatigue and muscle weakness hasn't gone away one bit. I also have pain, kind of a stinging, in my thyroid, and my nodule is larger when I feel this. The last time I had this, I was reducing the HC too much and likely not using the Armour. I also think I had this feeling when I was on HC before I started Armour. I started Armour May 1st and am currently on 1 1/2 grains (I have been increasing only 1/4 grain at a time). I might need to raise the Armour, but I am worried about doing it with my adrenals. I was on 1 1/2 grains for 10-11 days, but I had the HC reduced to 15 mg during this entire time. As I increased the HC, I held the Armour at 1 grain for 2 days and then went up to 1 1/4 grains for a few days (like you suggested). Sunday I went back to 1 1/2 grains, because I was getting fatigue on Sat. Should I try increasing? I know I have only been on 1 1/2 grains for 4 days but previously I was on it for 10 days. It is in the late afternoon/evening that my thyroid stings (and I think swells). The fatigue, weakness, and moodiness has been all day though. Typically when I need to increase, I am tired for 1-2 days, then the tears start coming. :-( I have been like this for about 5 days now with this awful fatigue! My heart palps feel much better with the HC increase though! Thanks, Olif
Guest guest
Well with the thyroid actually causing pain, it is certainly an antiobody attck. That measn you need more thyroid so it will not be stimulated and the attack will stop. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Where should I add in the 1/4 grain? Here is how I am dosing right now: 10mg, 3/4 grain 6am 10mg, 1/2 grain 10am 5mg, 1/4 grain 2pm 5mg bedtime I am worried to increase the morning to 1 whole grain, although it would give me a good start. Maybe I should spread the Armour over 4 doses? Thanks! -Olif

Guest guest
Okay, I will give it a try tonight and cross my fingers! Actually, maybe I will wait until tomorrow night, because I can sleep in a bit on Friday, if I need to... Thanks! -Olif
Guest guest
I was able to spend some time talking with my doctor about my adrenals today. I am having low appetite, nervousness, and sometimes a high pulse. Luckily she thought to check my pulse, because I forgot to mention that to her. It was 88 when she checked it. She said when the cortisol gets too low, adrenaline (epinephrine) will pickup the slack, and that is why my pulse is high with low cortisol. I thought I would pass this info on incase it helps anyone! -Olif

Guest guest
I am sorry to butt in but I had to ask this since I have seen very few people mention a stinging or pain in their thyroid. I have a burning sensation in mine. I have a goiter also. My antibody tests have come up negative the two times they were tested. The labs give a < number for a normal result but if you have any number above 0, would that not be antibodies, just very few of them? So what I am asking is, what would cause the burning if I do not have not Hashis? > > Well with the thyroid actually causing pain, it is certainly an > antiobody attck. Guest guest
Val: " This is why pulse problems are SO hard to figure out, " YES it is! :-( I am noticing that my pulse is really high, strong, and irregular at bedtime the last couple of nights- like 90-100. If I take the HC, it doesn't help. Could this be from hypo or is it possibly high cortisol? I haven't raised Armour in a couple weeks. I am at 1 3/4 grains. Poor timing of med doses, or low Ferritin. Too much Caffeine or a supplement that disagrees with you. " Well, that makes it easy! :-) Hmmm...it isn't low cortisol or high thyroid, I don't think, nor low magnesium, sodium, iron, I don't think. It isn't caffeine or a supplement. It is either hypo or high cortisol. It doesn't get worse after dosing HC, I don't think, but it definitely didn't get better either. I am lower on energy, and I think I feel my mood slipping: maybe time for an Armour increase. Val, since my cortisol is low during the day, and I am on 30 mg HC, do you think it is even possible that my cortisol even could be elevated at night? Just a few days ago, I was experiencing nervousness and low appetite due to low cortisol. I don't think I have reserves built up. Guest guest
nervousness and low appetite due to low cortisol Low appetite does not necessarily go wiht low cortiosl. Low cortisl often causes hypoglycemia which tends ot make peopel hungry and crave sweets. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
