Guest guest
They are going to do it!!! We had a very good meeting. I am so glad that I thought to invite the chairman of our GIG group. She brought some info from the national GIG where they will (for a very minimal fee) actually help you determine what you're GF menu is. This is the program that Outback and Carrabas participated in. For this particular chain it is only $250. When they heard this they were sold! They have had a lot of requests to put the calorie/carb info on their menu and they found that it would be thousands of dollars to get this information. Plus they felt that it could be a fad thing. But we convinced them that celiac\gluten-free is not a fad and the cost was minimal (less than $10/ location) and we are going to help them get the cost back by having out group sponsor a diner to kick off their menu. They also agreed to sponsor our celiac awareness walk coming up in June! So the moral of the story is....It never hurts to ask, or even sometimes be a little pushy Next time I get another response that they can't give me that information, it will be easier to email back that I can help them get it. If any of you are near one of their locations I hope that you will try it out so that we can show them our appreciation! Jonyce
