Guest guest
Be sure to call your pain management doctor, if you are like many of us, you have a contract that disallows pain medications prescribed by others. If you contact them when you are injured they go easier on you and work with you for pain control. Recently I sprained my left ankle, already have a severe bunion on that foot and my horse stepped on it a few days ago. I didn't go see if it was broken but that foot hurts too bad to do much walking at all. Which bone is broken in your foot? I hope and pray for quick healing and no lasting effects with this injury of yours. Be sure to keep it elevated and iced regularly. I landed on the side of my foot and, bingo, broke it. I knew it was broken right away, actually heard and felt the bone snap. >

My pain management doctor understands when I have a break or ER visit or my Primary Care prescribes me something. I just bring a copy of the what they did and they are okay with it. I think the contract means when you are seeking other medication know that no other Doctor can treat you in an accepted practice as with me. I probably could not get assistance from my pain management doctor for three days and my fractured ribs need assistance right now. Take care of you injury and let us know how it is. Guest guest
Chelsea A walker with a seat can be purchased for 99 bucks at Walgreen. If you doctor writes the script you probably can get it. Worth a try. I use it when I feel really bad and cannot get around. It allows you to sit if you get tired and then you can get up and go again. Bennie
Guest guest
If your insurance refuses to cover it, shop around. Walgreens is probably not the cheapest place to get it. Before you buy, shop around. Check with non-profits and hospitals. Some hospitals will give away medical equipment to uninsured (or people who are denied coverage). If you have insurance and you really need the equipment, it's almost always covered. Save your money for when you really need it.
