I am a little confused. Are you supposed to continue with mid-

morning and mid-afternoon snacks when you are on Phase 2? I am not

really hungry enough to eat anything but want to do what I am

supposed to do.

I started on 9/1/04 and have lost 24.5 pounds. Went to the doctor

today for blood work. He suggested SBD to me and so far I am

pleased with the results. I will be axious to know my lipid level,

etc.

This is the area I enjoy discussing.

FYI, my HDL went way up nicely.

LDL is right at the borderline (personally I think it's the eggs and

steak, thank you).

BP is way down, so is pulse.

I'm very pleased, but will monitor it all.

Good luck with yours.

A few GF snack ideas from our house:

fruit

cheese sticks/cubes

Jello pudding - except the cookie flavor!

Jello gelatin - my son loves Jello cubes

yogurt tubes

popcorn

Panda /Koala bars

Corn tortillas with a GF filling - peanutbutter w/ a few mini M & M's is

popular here, also cheese

Make GF waffle sticks (recipe in the archives I think), freeze them,

thaw and toast as needed, serve w/ GF topping like jam

corn chips

salami

GF cookies - again, there's a really great recipe for sugar cookies in

the archives. My son took those cookies to school today and they were

immensely popular! These are a roll out and cut style cookie, so kids

have a lot of fun helping to make them.

cereal treats made w/ GF cereals like Pebbles (think Rice Krispie treat)

Nuts if your kids can handle them
