I just went to the doctor today and we did a urine test and lots of blood work, holding off on pulmonary tests and such until January. So, I don't have to pay deductibles now in October and again in January. As always your posts are so beneficial. My memory is really affected right now and I really need to hear what you say! Thanks for always being there! Cyrilla, Thank you for encouraging me : ) I think some of our medications effect our " brain fog " so to speak and we sometimes forget to look at our medication information for their side effects or indications. I know Lyrica, antidepressants, opoids, and many other medications cause these problems, along with the pain causing us the inability to focus on anything else besides the normal aging process. (I know we both are just 29). Laughing about that ! Also our vitamin and hormone levels need to be checked as I know I was deficient in Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and Calcium. These are essential enzymes and nutrients to keep our body in good health to fight pain. Just today my Pain Management Doctor gave me an information sheet for diet and other supplement. This is an anti-inflammatory diet and most pain we experience is caused with anti-inflammatory components. One suggestion is to eat avocados everyday, drink a glass of lemon juice, eat small amounts of raw ginger, take Magnesium and other items that come from a holistic arthritic website. She said if she did visually see this patient, see would not recommend the items on the sheet she gave me. My Doctor said she saw this woman almost heal herself and reduce her pain levels to 3 from a 8=9 levels. So I will be following this plan and see how it does. Cyrilla, I would make sure your Doctor goes over your blood work and how it effects the function of your body and I think some might reflect some of your memory problems. Write down all your medicines and go through the side effects and contraindications and highlight which ones you are experiencing. This is what I did and asked my Doctor if I should worry or not. I did quit several medications and I have taken my Lyrica for three weeks and will titer myself off as it reduced my firbro flare symptoms and the side effects have accumulated to where I cannot tolerate them. My Doctor knows I do this. I gained ten pounds in two weeks of taking this, my vision is effected, and I knew about the depressive thoughts, so off I go this medication. I hope the best results and e-mail us or me personally as I think of you often. You just need to visit the Indian Casinos and have a good time. The last time I visited my Dad, my Sister and I went to Choctaw Casino outside of Hugo Oklahoma (10 miles from my sister) and the have built a big hotel and bus the living assisted crowds in even from here in Austin, I see their buses here. I never win and twenty-five dollars is the max to bet. I hope the best results for you and a treatment plan that will help you get your pain under control. Guest guest
Make sure that they check you for Crohn's disease. It can be overlooked very easily if they don't do the right tests. It is an autoimmune disease and and inflammatory illness. Your body's immune system literally attacks your intestines. Good Luck, SHELL >Cyrilla wrote: >My problem is that I have been off all meds for 13 months and have had diarrhea non stop and unable to stand at stove so I know nutrients are lacking. Guest guest
Cyrilla, Be sure you are replacing those nutrients with drinks with electrolytes and you can also drink pedialyte and they have popcycles. That is most important! It won't hurt to start drinking those now. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are. I hope Imodium helps you eventually.
