Guest guest
Hi Val Since my second dose of hc today I've had that anxious/uneasy/overwhelmed feeling that I seem to have lot. It seems to hit around my second dose of hc, today around 11:00. I know you've said that the morning dose lowers my ACTH too much and I need to take more to balance things out for the second dose. I took half of my 3:00 dose early (2.50 mg), at 1:00 and still feel this anxiety, heart feels like it's beating hard, pulse 85, close to an hour later. You've always suggested taking a dose of hc when this hits which is why I took that 2.5 mg early. Could this be more of a thyroid thing since my temps are so high? I'm thinking the hc is moving the excess thyroid into the cells which I don't need right now hence the anxiety. If the hc is pushing more thyroid into the cells it seems that would make me feel worse. Can you help me understand so I know what's going on when certain symptoms hit? Thanx Val, I know I've hit my quota this week with questions!
Guest guest
I think we had better quit calling her, " Dr Val. " We could get her in trouble! ( Re: uneasy/anxious Ok, cool, I thought that was what was going on but I needed confirmation from Dr. Val. One thing I don't understand is why do we not stop adrenal support also when having a thyroid dump? Since cortisol moves thyroid into the cells wouldn't that exacerbate the thyroid dump? Knowing all this helps me understand what's going on so I know what to do. I don't want this panicky feeling on a plane which is why I'm pushing so hard to understand!!! With the exception of a morning dose yesterday I've stopped all thyroid Rx until my temps come down. I know I was on the brink of a major thyroid dump and it could have been alot worse if I had not stopped the medication. Thanx Val ******************************* As I believe oyu are having a thyroid dump you need ot STOP thyroid meds and continue wiht usual HC till the temps come down and wiht that will also come the pulse to a more normal level and less anxiety. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
