Guest guest
(I'm trying to keep up with Patti ) The Nurse Advocate was in. He said Lonnie actually got into surgery at 11:15 (I left him at 10:15). He checked on Lonnie at 11:45 and all vitals were fine and surgery was going as expected. More update later.... Cheryl Berg, Idaho 45Married 25 years, 4 children, 3 grchildrenPSC 01, UC 00, Fibromyalgia, hypothyroid, hiatal hernia, ulcer, gall baldder removed '93disability (retired English teacher) Lonnie update We arrived at IU Med Center around 11p last night. After a pint of blood was drawn (about 30 vials), he then headed for a CT scan. About 2am the anesthesiologist came and inserted a line for fluids. We *patiently* waited until 6:30a for an update. Actually, that's when the cafeteria opened. :)The liver is viable and being sent to OR. The surgical team would call for Lonnie when they were ready. At 9:15, the nurse started preping him for surgery, saying it would be about 15 minutes. I could see Lonnie's heart pounding! Finally, at 10:15, he was wheeled to OR.His parents and I were escorted to the surgical waiting room (very nice, but the way) and were immediately introduced to the Nurse Advocate, Rob. He will be making rounds every couple hours and will update us on Lonnie's progress.I'll keep you posted.Kathybtw, we were on the list for SIX days!!!
