Guest guest
, Sorry Meagan still isn't better. If it makes you feel any better, sometimes when I think they got a crappy culture, it still shows the pseudo. However, when they have done them in the lab, they are really really bad cultures, then they don't show anything. The doc says as long as they really go deep enough, whether they appear to get any sputum or not, it still should be a pretty good culture. So, if the CF nurse did it, hopefully it will be reliable. And by the way, we HATE the waiting part also..... Take care (oh, and did you ask them about the donation stuff yet? and what they would do then?) Guest guest
Hi, JEN, Happy birthday to JoJo!!!!! How is it that he's a year old already? Don't our kids really make us aware of time? I can't believe that Kailin will be 8 in september (and before we know it, it will be 18, LOL). Have fun in the wilds of Canada, and watch out for those plastic bugs! I hear they've got a nasty bite. As for us, Meagan's still coughing up sputum, and still has a junky cough (though her energy level is still pretty good, which I'm really happy about). She brought up some light gray/green/white stuff this morning (though most of the stuff is clear or white), and then a dark green hunk tonight during CPT that I didn't like the looks of. HOWEVER, for some reason the nurse said she didn't get much sputum on Meagan's sputum culture this morning, grrrrr! This kiddo's done nothing but hack up sputum today, but the nurse didn't catch it during the sputum culture, despite the fact that Ken said Meagan coughed really hard for her? Again, grrrr. I really want this one to be accurate. Oh well, now we wait 7 days (hate that part). On the bright side, it was BEAUTIFUL out today, and we spent the day in the yard. The kids played (mostly peacefully) and Ken and I did some gardening. My munchkins got within 4 feet of our local adolescent bunny-rabbit, much to their delight. (Not a very smart bunny, but very cute, and so far it hasn't even found our garden-- like I said, not very smart). bye,
