Cheryl-You're not too far off from 140 now. Good for you! You must look

terrific! I'm so glad you don't hassle your daughter about her weight. I

know my Mom was only " trying to do what was best for me " . We are very close

now though. I think she also (like most women in this society) had her own

issues with body image that she transferred to me. I think all you can do is

respect your body. Try to eat moderate amounts of good food. Eat when

you're hungry, stop when you're full, exercise, and accept the results.

Anyway, thanks for the response. Take care!

Advice for the day: If you have a lot of tension and you get a headache, do

what it says on the aspirin bottle: Take two and keep away from children.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience with the monitor...good

to know that it can shift so much from cycle to cycle. I was kind of

freaking out when I hit day 18 and was still showing " low " fertility

and was VERY relieved to finally see the shift to " high " the next

day. I ovulated on CD 22 or 23 so I guess that will give me about a

36 day cycle this month as well, assuming I have a 14 day leutal

phase...that means September 16th will be CD36 for me so we'll see

whether old AF shows up or not!!

I'll keep you up-to-date!

Thanks for your message Cheryl! I really appreciate hearing from

someone who used the monitor for a while. I was under the mistaken

impression that I would seem the same basic pattern each month except

for some variation in the length of the follicular phase. Good to

know that it is okay and normal to have varying results each cycle. I

PROMISE I will always test when a test is requested from now on!

Thanks again. How are you feeling? Still doing well I hope! Cervix

still closed?

So glad to hear everything is still going well. 5 pounds already?

Wow! She is going to be big! You must be so relieved to have " made

it " . To have carried this little miracle even with the strange

cervical condition and contractions! The wonders of modern medicine!

Glad you have been able to increase your activity level, must feel

good to be able to move around!

Hang in there and keep us up-to-date when you can!

Thanks for the beta number feedback...that looks about right. I have

been doing some internet research (there's a big surprise huh?!) and

have found ranges ALL OVER the board described as normal....they

literally range from 3 iu/L - 3,882 iu/L all falling within

the " normal " range for 15 DPO (4 weeks and 3 days since LMP).

My doctor's office considers anything less than 5 to be " not

pregnant " so if I get any double-digit number I will be happy and

then watch for the " doubling " we all hope for.

I did a bit of research on ectopic pregnancy as well and found that

with an ectopic, levels will only increase an average of 66% instead

of the normal 100% every 36-48 hours. SO, I will hope and pray that I

get nice doubling of whatever number I start out with.

She said she would call me before lunch time tomorrow so I'll let you

know what I find out!

Hi Gwen,

I had a 16 with this pregnancy at 14 dpo. And this baby is kicking like a champ. I call him/her grasshopper. So, don't be too concerned about where the number starts, it's how it doubles is what matters. Good luck!

Tell the truth, have you peed on the stick a third time yet?
