Where to get Cytomel?

My problem is my doctor. He just started me on Cytomel when my RT3 came back

390. He had me on Armour for 5 months before testing that RT3. The Armour dose

was kept at 90mg (1.5 grains) not enough at all, but I had no choice, he

wouldn't prescribe me more. He also wouldn't allow me to be up on the HC and so

I had to buy Isocort. Now I have this high Rt3. If I want to dose myself and use

just the T3 and get up to 75mcg how can I do that without a prescription?

Is there a place to get safe T3 that people here are using?

I'm a bit afraid to do this on my own. I was a bit afraid to even up my Armour

on my own. I was afraid to even up my HC, but I have and I'm about to run out of

that and he probably won't give me another RX for it either. I will have to find

that somewhere too.

Thanks.

Colleen, I'm confused. Cytomel is T3. Is he not prescribing enough for you and

that's why you're looking for alternate sources to add to what he's prescribing?

> Yes. My RX is 5mcg and to take 2x a day with my 2 doses of Armour. He just

started me out to see if I felt better adding a little Cytomel because my

Reverse was 390 (350 is top), and my Free T3 still had some room to move.

I know he won't increase that and have me up to 75mcg like is suggested here so

I'm wondering where I can get this if I decide I want to self dose.

Ooooh, sorry to hear that. Yeah, 10mcg/day isn't much at all, especially with

an RT3 number like that! Bummer.

Good luck,
