Guest guest
This is an interesting post, and am looking forward the answer because I was feeling great until the heat and then starting having these same problems, including adrenal issues again. cathy > > Hello > > I was reading these 2 posts specifically where these two ladies > mention that they lowered their thyroid meds and began to feel > better. Guest guest
The only thing you may be doing wrong is keeping the HC too low. By not supporting the adrenals well it allows th ehtyroid ( any of it) to build in the blood then one little stres dose dumps it into the cells all at nce. By taking ENOUGH HC all the time it will keep this from happeneing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Unusual for me.<< This sounds liek low cortisol. Thuis is telling me you need to raise the bedtime dose or add one if you are not taking one. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

This is really hard. I am on 75 mcg T3 and lowered from 5 because of hyper symptoms and still Ihave the rapid pulse and high BP. I have had to go on betablockers (Atenolol) because the BP was dangerouslyhigh and I could not get it down with natural means like magesnium etc. etc. I have found that my temp. isnot v. useful in determing where I am with things and with taking the betablockers then I cannot use my pulse now either. I am VERY hypo and don't know which way to turn. Any ideas peeps? Mo
Guest guest
I've been having a pounding pulse, which I now know is heart palipations...my thyroid is almost complete suppressed - down to .005 as of last Thursday - even after going from 4 grains of armour down to 2.... Now I've lowered even more and finally the heart palps have slowed down BUT now I am hypo T again!!! Swollen puffy face and eyes every morning now...sluggish so am increasing some again...guess I probably didn't need to lower so much and let my body catch up - but the palps were getting really bad. I had cut back on my isocort too - but will move that back up and be better about getting full doses of Sea Salt/vit C in as well so my adrenals stay up.. I just came from having an MRI done on my head - Endro wanted to check my pituitary gland to see if that is what is causing me to be so suppressed while decreasing, my March bloodwork at 4 grains was .009 (2.4 - 7.6) I think is the norm range. Hopefully I will find a happy medium - so if you have a pounding heart you will want to lower your meds - it can cause heart tissue problems. Guest guest
Hi According to my endo, Thierry Hertoghe, you should lower your Armour dose by 15mg in the summer and increase it by 15mg in the winter. Apparently the body needs less thyroid hormone when the weather is warmer. Because I have come somewhere very hot, my adrenals suffered and so I have lowered by 30mg to take the strain off them. As I understand it, using the thyroid hormone uses up cortisol. If your body needs more cortisol to deal with heat stress, then too much thyroid hormone in addition to heat will stress your adrenals. I guess you could either increase HC /Pred, or lower thyroid, but as I will be here for 2 months I can't stress dose for that long. Not sure if I've explained this very well... Guest guest
>>so if you have a pounding heart you will want to lower your meds - it can cause heart tissue problems.<< not always true! Many palps can be from low magnesium, LOW thyroid, or weajk adrenals as well as high cortisol so it is important to find the cause before just lowering thyroid. MOST palps are not damaging or dangerous either. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I'm answering several comments here at once. ANSW: A high startle reflex is often the adrenals too...I do still startle more than I would like. That sounds like me! I didn't know a magnesium deficiency could cause an exaggerated startle reflex. Is this true? ANSW: My Iron and Ferritin levels were not too bad.... Anemia can also make your heart pound, just from getting up and walking across the room. Been there, done that!!! Q: Can you tell me more about the aldosterone??? What are the symptoms/tests and what helps it??? For you may be it is too much thyrid but for me it was low aldosterone. I had this pounding heart for about 11 years and it si gone now. ANSW: I had been doing pretty good for quite a while at 4 grains...and then about 6 months ago the pounding pulse started...now I am raising up a little bit, way to hypo T now, but the pounding is back already!!! Something else has to be going on for my to be so suppressed suddenly even on less armour. Thanks for all the help. SeaLady
Guest guest
Thank you!! -- Re: how to know when to lower thyroid My doctor put me on prescription iron pills for a couple of months and then I went to OTC Slow Fe brand. I liked those much better. The prescription pills were really hard on the tummy. Guest guest
I am diabetic. Byetta is a diabetic drug which has as one of its main side effects weight loss. This drug is very new and people are having some serious side effects from it, so much so that many doctors do not prescribe it. And I know it is only supposed to be given to diabetics. Your friend is losing weight because of the medication she is taking. Check it out on www.drugs.com Arabella wrote: Hi Val, My friend is losing weight like crazy!
