Guest guest
Christie, My regular gyn. did do a culture and there was no bacteria present, only yeast. However, that was a month ago and I still have all of the symptoms. I wonder if it is now a bacterial infection? What are the symptoms of that? I never had a bacterial infection before, so I wouldn't know. Thanks, Maureen
Guest guest
Thanks Candi, I will request that of my specialist I think. My regular gyn (who I only saw once, she is new) probably won't know what I am talking about and try to throw a cream at me or tell me to use the gynazole she prescribed. Unfortunately, the specialist does not take my insurance ( Spadt in Philly), but it is worth spending the money on someone who knows about these things. Maureen > Maureen, > do what i would do if i had insurance and could, make an appointment and tel her you want a culture sent to the lab and you want a fungal culture done (they take 6-8 weeks to come back if its done right) and tell her you want them to chek for any type of bacteria at all and also request that they check your lactobacilli count. I am sure theres a test for this i just dont know what its called. >> > > >
