Well I got all my stuff to start and opened the pistachios the night before my start date and probably ate 330 of them.

What is that Tahini. There was a recipte that called for it so I bought. Quite expensive. Did you try it. Can we substitute or leave it out and the recipe still be good.. Sorry I dont remember which one it was.

I hope you won't get disappointed with a slow start in losing weight,

but it's gonna take awhile for all those calories and fat to get

burned off (from all those pistachios).

Tahini is sesame seed paste. It's a common ingredient in Middle

Eastern cooking - Greek, Turkish, Lebanese, etc. The recipe is

probably hummus. I make a lot of hummus and use PB instead of tahini.

It's an acceptable substitution but I do have to say that the flavour

is a bit different and you lose the health benefits of tahini - IIRC

it's full of Omega-3 oil or something like that.
