Hi everyone,

Well as most of you probably know I have been battling with this open wound

for some time now. Well today I decided enough is enough. I have had a fever

x's 2 days and have been feeling really lousy and with a lot of pain and

swelling. I called Dr. R and was told by the answering service that he could

only be called in an emergency, I was so wound up I told the girl this IS an

emergency have him call me back. Well he did call me back and I told him how

rotten I am feeling, I told him I want an antibiotic AND a visiting nurse to

deal with this wound. I think he sensed how aggravated I was and he agreed

with me.He wants the nurse to come twice a day. His secretary/nurse was out

today so he wasn't sure how to set up a visiting nurse, (I work for a

homecare agency) so with his approval I wrote my own referral!!! Thank

goodness my boss is very understanding, I have taken the next week off work

with her blessing. I will be able to do some work at home so I won't lose a

paycheck. so starting tomorrow I will have a nurse come to take care of this

wound and I have already started my antibiotic. My wound is 2cmx2cm round and

about 6-7cms deep - yuk.Hopefully things will start to improve now. Sorry to

keep harping on about this but it really has been getting me down. On a

positive note though I have lost 41lbs since April 3rd and apart from this

problem I am doing really well, I have not been sick or dumped and I have

been able to eat just about everything with no problems!!! Toni.

Hello Toni-

I am so sorry to hear that you are still in this situation. I was

going to send off a thank you for your encouragement with the

meditation/relaxation programs and now I realize how unselfish you

really were to take time while you are so uncomfortable still

I will say a prayer that your problems disappear.

good luck toni - glad to hear that things worked out

for you with dr. randall. i also have dr. randall and

was concerned for a while that he does'nt listen to

his patients. but it sounda as if all is strightening

out for you best of luck .
