Guest guest
Here's one I use: 1C. nonfat milk 1/4 C. nonfat plain yogurt 1/2 C. frozen strawberries, peaches or blueberries (or you can mix peaches & strawberries make a good mix for example) 1 packet splenda or other allowed sweetner Blend in mixer/blender until smooth. Non fat and comes in at about 150 calories--makes a good size glass of smoothie/shake. Very filling and I find that depending on the type of fruit I often don't even need any artificial sweetner which is even better. This brings me to a question. I'm in phase 2, I know pineapple was a nono in phase 1. Is it allowed in 2. If not I'll have to wait for phase 3 I guess--pineapple ones were always my favorite and they definitely don't need any sweetner! D. 243/222/165 Gray wrote: Hi! After three weeks on Phase One, and a 14 pound weight loss, I'm ready to move to Phase Two. I'm looking forward to having some more variety at breakfast and was hoping that someone might have some great recipes for smoothies. I'm just SO tired of eggs... Also, can I have whet germ in Phase Two? Thanks in advance. I make smoothies for my son on occasion. I use 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup yogurt, about a cup of frozen strawberries, half a banana, and half a dozen ice cubes. Run it in the blender until smooth. He loves it for breakfast. -- Ann You spend your life fighting dirt, and when you die they bury you in it. hayakawa@... I like to add 1 or 2 tbsp of flax seeds and SF syrup like Di Vinchi or Torani If you getting cravings then you know you need to try a different berry.
