Guest guest
Oh my! I am so sorry to hear about your knee. After all you went through with your ankle. Good that you are having a caretaker in four days a week. I am sure that will be a huge help. I imagine walking in tough. I sprained my ankle about a week ago (tripping over my hubby's boots) and I can hobble with the air cast and an ace bandage on. I still have to take stairs real slow. In fact my older cat goes up faster than I do! I pulled the ligaments in my knee years ago. Luckily it was mild and it healed in a week and half. But those crutches kill your underarms. Sending you healing thoughts. Big gentle hugs, Tami Christa wrote: > I went to see an Orthopedic Dr on September 21st. The Dr. said I > may had torn a cartilage in my left knee. Oh boy! I'm waiting for the Dr's office to call me once they get the authorization for MRI. This is no fun. I feel like I'm cripple. I sometime can't walk at all. My physical therapist said it was the muscle from my " butt muscle " that is what I called it and my sciatica so it was all connected. My stretching exercises for the knee to chest help stretch it out and it is better. When I got at home physical therapist after my back surgery, I did really well . Hopefully, the caregiver can reinforce what the physical therapist gives you for a home exercise program. Boy, don't know how you are doing it up the stairs. Good Luck Christa, get the caregiver to do the things you can't do and leave the easy stuff for you : ) Thinking of you and wishing you a great recovery. Let us know what you find out from your MRI.
