You got it…we are SO THANKFUL and it

is a small price to pay…he took this many pills before his transplant, we

were just hoping they might get reduced a little…his prednisone is down

to 5 MG and his Prograf is still 8 MG and 8 MG…

I just hope I will always remember to take my pills after my transplant. I tend to be quite forgetful (my short-term memory is awful and has been much worse since I've had UC and PSC). I am starting to think my memory problems have something to do with either my fatigue or my disease. In any case, I'm handling it pretty well. I take other measures to remember and I guess once I'm faced with pills vs. rejection I won't forget. Besides, I already take about 18 pills/day.

of that change is you suddenly are in the position of needing to take a lot of pills. considering all the grim alternatives, that's a small price to pay! :-)

Yes, the number of pills taken after a transplant does go down over

time. I currently take 17 a day, of which 8 are immunosuppresants.
