Guest guest
Mandy, how did you make out at the docs yesterday? Yeast? Dusty Hi All I have developed such a flare up from the front right to the back, my skin is red and hot and I don't know how to calm or cool it down, I am not sure why is suddenly got this again (I think that is caused by stress at work), I don't even know what it is, I have an appointment with the gynae on Monday, I am concerned that I have to go through the entire weekend with this burning red hot pain. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to cool down my vulvar skin. I am trying to relax, as I know that by stressing about it only makes the problems worse. Any insight would really be appreciated. Many thanks Mandy Please discuss all methods of treatment with your practitioner. Guest guest
Dear Dusty I really despair, I landed up forking out R1000 on both the doc and medication, I have run out of medical funds so it had to go on my poor credit card, found traces of candida spores again, so back on Sporonox for a month and Daktakort cream for the inflammation, still feeling incredibly itchy and totally down that I cant seem to get over this. Had this recurring problem for 2 years now and no matter what I try it doesn’t seem to work, all my problems started with my last disastrous relationship 2 years ago, before then I never had a problem. The doc thinks that I has nothing to do with diet (but I disagree) and thinks that I am allergic to something else that I am using, but I haven’t used anything new, so who knows, I seem to pay a fortune and never seem to be able to get any answers. Lynne sent a very interesting web address for a site where a midwife suggests using a hydrogen peroxide douche, this sounds very interesting and I think that there is certainly no harm in trying this, I am going to buy some this weekend and give it a try, the article made a lot of sense to me in that the hydrogen breaks down into some form of oxygen and I know that oxygen is what kills these creepy crawlies. Will keep you posted. Mandy -----Original Message----- From: Dusty Sent: 07 October 2003 06:36 To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Attention Mandy Mandy, how did you make out at the docs yesterday? Yeast? Guest guest
Have you had your thyroid checked? One of the "symptoms" of thyroid trouble is listed as: " You have worsening allergies, itching, prickly hot skin, rashes, hives, urticaria, chronic yeast infections, oral fungus or thrush, or stomach and abdominal bloating Dusty Be very careful with douching. It is generally NOT suggested for women with yeast - as it may cause you to drive the yeast further into your female organs - like up into the uterus as well.
