Guest guest
had his casting done today. The orthotist was Darrell Christensen at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco. What a wonderful man he is! He made us so at ease and was so good with . did really well and drank a full bottle during the process. He was also most interested in the ortho's tape measure. We should have the band in 2 weeks. It will be a STARband and we chose the " little fireman " pattern. I mentioned that we would be paying ourselves if our insurance denies us and he replied that they will get covered. He said they have a wonderful success rate in getting bands paid for and that they'll just take care of it for us and let us know if they need anything from us. How wonderful was that to hear! All in all a great visit and while I'm nervous about the fitting, I'm thrilled that we're on our way. Guest guest
How did you find out about the orthotist at UCSF? Did your doctor refer you to him? What kind of insurance do you have? We're trying to find a good orthotist in central CA or so to do a STAR band as soon as our dr. will give us a prescription. Thanks!
