Guest guest
Sandi you wrote something that set me thinking. First thing was " when I turned on the water she ran into the bathroom crying " . Now we all know that sometimes when we turn on the water, we suddenly need to urinate. Also you said something regarding the first day at camp. Do they have a pool at camp? Maybe it has something to do with water. You also said something about " watching the juices " . Maybe you should completely cut out the juices. Children don't need juices. They just provide extra concentrated sugar which goes through them too fast, whereas the stuff juices come from (fruit and veggies) take a little longer and don't have immediate effect. In my opinion juices are a special treat and should not be consumed regularly. They usually contain too much sugar (yes, fructose is sugar) salt, and other seasonings as in V8 juice. I rarely gave my children juices, but I did give them fruit. I believe that veggies and fruit are for eating, not drinking. Maybe I am prejudiced because I much prefer the fruit over the juices. Even tomatoes - I eat the veggies and fruit and leave the juice alone except occasionally for a treat. Just my opinion but it is something to think about. When she says she stings I look at her skin and it is usually very red. She says it always stings to pee ( no frequency or IC type stuff), she is always constipated, and has rectal stinging too. My symptoms. I know it is not for attention because it affects her play at times. Last year she waited weeks for us to get a slip and slide and then I set it up and turned on the water and she ran to the bathroom crying saying how bad it stung. Today was her first day of girl scout camp and she said it stung there too. > >Another thing is her descriptions of it are just like mine but things I have never told anyone. Like, " well it doesn't hurt when I am lying here with my legs in the air but when I am walking around it does. " That is just like me but I never said that. I just know she is feeling physical pain. This is another reason why I have to find my cure. Others on the lists have said there is no cure. But there has to be not only for me ( and all of us) but also for my daughter. I will not let this destroy her life the way it has destroyed mine. AND I will not even let her get on the treatment roller coaster. I just try to make light of it and do things like give her the right foods to help the constipation, cut down on the juices,... I truly believe that my cure will be her cure. When I find mine, I will find hers. > >I took her to the pediatrician and as I said, they say it is in her head and to try to watch the juices and constipation. The dr we really like said that. The other dr asked us about any possible abuse. I am so sick of that! We are a very kind religious family with No abuse at all. > >Now I never had a problem when I was a girl and in our early marriage before this problem my husband and I made love all of the time - I would wear him out!!! But I do have endo, and these hormonal allergies and yeast allergy, and a horrible history of rare yeasts and lots of antibiotics. I am afraid that I have screwed around with the flora so much with all of the antifungals and antibiotics that I now ( we now) have something rare. As to how it got to her I don't know - towels, the tub I used for sitz baths... > >I was tested for mycoplasma and ureaplasma - I don't know if it was by PCR or just a regular culture. BUT there is a DR. Toth in NYC who talks of this generational bacteria - passed in the womb from mother to daughter or father to mother to daughter. Dr. Toth asked me in a phone conversation all about my grandma's and mother's periods as well as all the females on my husband's side. My husband's family fit the pattern even more than mine with my mother in law having IC and my sister in law with endo and vulvar pain. He is very expensive but perhaps somewhere I should turn if this naturopathic route doesn't work. > >I will try this week nizarol compounded in safflower oil to see if the white plaque has anything to do with yeast near the surface. Please wish me luck. Please pray especially for my little girl. > >Thanks, >Sandi
Guest guest
HI Sandi, Boy hon, my heart sure aches for you and your daughter.... what a shame and I can imagine as a mom myself the heartbreak and just hoping and praying it isn't going to be like that for her. I've got 2 little grandaughters so am leery too. I"m so so sorry. I have heard about a generational bacteria as well. (now I'm thinking, it 'might' have been mentioned with the mycoplasma or chalmydia??) It is ironic though so many of the things you mention you have are the things that the mycoplasma may be involved in from what I've read. I wonder how reliable those tests are? There are two different schools of thoughts on the testing method too and no idea of which might be more correct. Knowing me? and believe me this is only ME.... but having tried all the things you have, I'd probably be giving it a try with the doxycyline. *sigh* but then as I said before I even sat in pure bleach water once too, but that's me. *grin* plus I don't get yeast infections on an antibiotic either. The only reason I mention that is because when I had the Bells Palsey, about 3 yrs ago, it took the 5th doctor I saw to give it to me (the doxy) most were resolute that it just wouldn't work, and within 24 hrs after I took it, it started reversing. The last doctor just said 'Sure, what's the worse that can happen, a little diahrrhea?'' thank goodness. Ironically it was from a physicians discussion list that I first read about the Doxy for Bells (for 3 patients it worked) and believe me I was so distorted physically from it, thank goodness I saw that article and begged and cried for it even though by all accounts it wasn't supposed to work but it did. There was one article I recently saw that did possibly tie the mycoplasma into the Bells as well so it sure made me think about my own experience. It's just all so doggone frustrating!!!!! Has your daughter been tested for Diabetes? Have they done any cultures? Long term non albicans yeast cultures? Toilet paper that is colored or has things in it? Soap allergy, laundry allergy? Food allergy? How about a bladder infection? I know this is personal...but masterbation can cause vulvar burning in children depending on how or what they use..I know..this is SOOOO personal I am squinting trying to look very very small right now! LOL I just hate to see kids in pain....my heart goes out to her! Lynn
Guest guest
One more thing... I have been using A & D Ointment on the vulva and I really thing it is helping. Maybe she can tolerate that on her vulva. Lynn
