Hi ;

Enjoyed your comment on " Controlling, by powerlessness " and

thought it was on the money.

Everyone at some point(s) in their lives is fragile in the extreme.

We all get emotionally beat up just by life, death and other

everyday events. We grieve and in time pop out of it and become

not our old selves again, but a bit stronger version of our old selves.

Fact is I'm not crazy about the situation I'm in now, but it is

temporary. They were wrong when the docs thought I had Lung

Cancer, biopsies were negative, function in my right hand is

coming back slowly, my neck will improve with physical therapy.

Soon I go to a pain mangement specialist and they are talking now

of a pain reliever pump at the destroyed site in my spine. The

destruction in my spine is from 20 years ago, the rest including a

divorce coming to court soon has happened since shortly before

Cristmas.

I'll moan and groan and blame my soon to be ex wife for everything

except or maybe including California Earthquakes, but IT WILL

pass.

One thing experience has taught me. Many really bad sets of

circumstances have come and gone and I'm still here.

I heard an old Preacher say " If you don't control your

circumstances, they will control you. " While not all circumstances

can be controlled, I still like the idea the message conveys, which I

see as one of take responsibility for myself.

If I wish to make other folks responsible for my failures, then I must

also credit them not me, when I succeed. That idea is not a real

popular one with me.
