see if it contains sugar--that's the issue in phase I.

There are some salad dressings at my grocery store that are sugar, calorie &

fat free--Walton Farms or something

It's better to have a small amt of full-fat dressing w.no sugar than a fat

free w/sugar in it. read the labels

Any dressing that has 3 grams of sugar or under is fine. You don't have to look at fat or anything, just sugar. :) Carol

Re: great northern beans?

Here's some info on Great Northern Beans. http://www.truestarhealth.com/Notes/1777007.htmlNo GL given but they are closely related to kidney and pinto beans so I'd say probably OK in Phase 1.> I hope someone can help me with this one. Hubbie and I are on Phase 1. We have looked in the book and in the guide and we can't find mention of great northern beans in either one. I am assuming it would be ok, but I absolutely do not want to slow down the progress we're making. Does anyone else know? > > Thanks,> Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables ! you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats. I make my own dressing with the mix. I don't think the ingredients said anything about any sugar. You just mix the packet with some milk and mayo. I like it.
