Most folks start a lot slower than that. Adding in 3 fruits and a grain in

one day is a bit much. Try adding in a single fruit or a single grain one

day, then waiting to see if any cravings are triggered or your weight loss

stalls. If you add in the fruit or grain later in the day you won't have to

endure cravings (if you get them) as long awake as if you add them in the

morning and have to deal with the cravings all day. (Do you understand my

convoluted sentence? LOL!!)

How long have you been on phase 1? You can post a sample days menu and maybe we can give you some suggestions.

Re: Starting phase 2

I have gained 3lbs on this diet!! I am trying to stick with it, but its VERY discouraging right nowReminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones-and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats. For more on this WOE please read "The South Beach Diet" by Arthur Agatston, MD. ISBN 1-57954-814-8

What have you been eating? Please write down a day's eating so we

can look at it and comment.
