Hi,

These doctors are band friendly. I think you need to fire your

current ped. This is YOUR decision to make NOT hers. She has some

nerve.

I hope one of these docs work out for you, please let us know.

ps.. you may need a referral to see either of them.

I am so sorry that your Pediatrition is being a (beep)! I too ran

into that problem. I had to pay CT out of pocket for a consutation

and even then the Pediatrition wasn't interested in it. But while I

was at CT they gave me names of band friendly doctors. Only thing is

if you are relying on insurance, and have an HMO you would have to

go threw your primary care phasition (spelling is bad sorry) to get

a referal to a Neurosurgion or Cranial/Facial Plastic n. I

know exactly what you are going threw and it dosn't get any easier

when you get insurance involved. My daughter was just casted on 11/4

for a DOCband and should be in it on the 18th and she is 09 months

old. Basicaly I went threw a Neruologist (because we were goign to

see him any way for other things) and he wrote us the Rx no

questions asked. Then becuase of insurance they needed a letter of

medical nicesity. We got that. Then we had to get a pre-auth from

our pediatrition because she is the primary care phasicion (Ugh! I

realy cant spell today sorry) and then we were approved....but for

materials from FLORIDA. Then when I had them call insurance to see

what was going on they denied us and said they needed to get a

contract with CT frist.....well sadly to say it never came threw and

we felt pressed for time so my parents payed for it out of pocket. I

realy feel for you right now. But don't give up. Hang in there. I

hope this help at least a little.

I forgot to add that because my Ped. was being a real wench, I went

online to find all the doctors in my network and called every one of

them till I found one that would give me what I wanted, Then I took

my info to the Ped. one more time to see what she said and thats

when she finaly agreed to do the paper work for the pre-auth (I was

so anoying that I thing she was trying to get me out of her hair)

but it payes off in the end. If I had to go and throw a fit on the

floor I would have. Oh and the fact that I asked if she was willing

to sign a paper stating that my daughters head would " round out " on

its own might have had something to do with it. I was evil, but it

worked.

Hi,

I am in PA too. My ped told me he would write me a prescription for

whatever I decided. Where are you in PA? You can email me if you'd

like.

What CT office did you go to?
