I had to laugh at some of the things, like soft drinks, sour milk, beer etc. , Here's a really longggg one from ACOG (Amer Col. of Gynes) and it does mention the lacto reduction with douching as well as it depends on frequency etc. As always it's up to the individual and like I said I call mine more of a rinsing out than a full fledged douche, *grin*, I've just never had a problem and it's prevented infections from coming on not giving me any but I don't use it often either with the Betadine and mostly use just warm water when I do other times.
