Guest guest
Jill, They must have changed the instructions, because I remember not using mine in the car seat. Good for everyone. Here is what I found on amazon.com and the boppy.com site. Basically it is ok for use in car seats!!!! YEAH From the ManufacturerBoppy Noggin Nest head support allows baby's head to develop more naturally and prevents flattening of the head caused by lying against hard surfaces. Boppy Noggin Nest can be used in baby's car seat, swing, stroller or bouncer. It is the newest advancement in head support. Safety InformationWARNING: Do not allow baby to lie face down on this product. Do not use in bed or crib. Only use in stroller, reclining bouncer and baby carrier. Plastic bags can be very dangerous and they are not a toy. Keep this bag out of reach of children to avoid suffocation. Do not leave baby unattended. and this is from Boppy.... Assist in protecting the round shape of baby’s soft head with Boppy’s new Boppy® Noggin Nest. Boppy Noggin Nest is a soft head support that reduces pressure on the back of a baby’s head and keeps it from getting a flat head. New parents are encouraged to follow the “Back to Sleep” campaign by putting their babies to sleep on their backs. While this is safest for baby, it can result in positional plagiocephaly, a cosmetic condition that results in the flattening of the back of baby’s head. The Boppy Noggin’ Nest can be strapped into a stroller, car seat, bouncer or swing. mom to naJill Brennan <jebrennan@...> wrote: , ACK! Are you sure about the noggin nest? A word of caution on adding to car seats. They are safety devices that have been tested and deemed to meet certain standards. I'm not sure if adding padding could possibly compromise the safety of the seat. However, if you just want to use it for an infant seat when you are not driving (i.e. shopping or eating out) then I wouldn't see a problem with it. For instance the boppy noggin nest specifically says not for use in car seats even though it would fit nicely. mom to naeclarebear <sarah@...> wrote: Hi Lynette-Good idea with the memory foam!
