I'm not quitting.....this is a new way of life for me. I don't miss the sweets and I am loving the pounds melting off me effortlessly! I'm down about 15 pounds in a month or so....gotta love that!

I could never think of quitting, even if I never lost another pound (which I'd better. hehe). I know that if I quit I would just gain back the 65 pounds that i have lost so far. I still have like 80 to go (have to see when I get down there). October 8th will be a year for me on plan. The longer I go, the more determined I get. And now that I have a book coming out in Feb 2006 (did I mention that to this group? If not, I've wanted to be a writer my whole life. I do publish articles and short stories but wanted to publish a novel. Well, I got word Monday that Wings Press wants my novel. Got the contract and all. It's my entire life's dream coming true. It's a children's historical fiction novel, spooky, written in the same format as Goosebumps or the like.) I have to be at goal by then, for all those book signings I will be doing. :) Now there's an incentive if ever I had one. :) So I am going no where. :) Carol

I'm about the same. A little over a month, maybe closer to a month

and a half, I'm down 13 pounds. Now, I haven't been doing my walking

like I used to since it's pretty precarious to walk around my

community. 3 weeks after a freaking hurricane hits, there are still

uprooted trees everywhere. Now, we have another one threatening.

Just what I needed. Of course, I'm trying to do the best I can with

my hurricane food being SBD friendly.

Not necessairly. When school starts families get very busy and don;t post

as much. Others often find that their activities get going again. One

ladies' group I belong to take a break during summer and starts the

regular meetings again in September. It's just the rhythm and cycle of our

lives.

Absolutely true, Ann. Even those of us without kids, school, etc. can

find Sept busy. I had a gathering to plan, a couple of days of out of

town work - with accompanying prep, and helping out with family

problems. Just got busy.

Also, I think those who've been here for a while start holding back

on answering every post because a) it's time the " younger " people

started giving answere and B) what good is six posts that say the

same thing to the same question.
