Guest guest
> Did you get the letter from the ped? Yes > What happens now? School? No school? No school. I don't feel confident enough that he'll be safe yet. Dr. Rubin has referred us to two behaviorists. Both will work with the school to " teach " : them how to deal with children like Boone. The best part, (said the doc,) is the school has to pay for their services since they noted the behaviors in his IEP. He said not to sign it though, since I objected to the behavior plan, which he thinks is barbaric. He couldn't believe that in 2002 this was still going on. He said the behaviorists from Emory would see to it that the policies are changed for all children in the school system. > Just beat the snot out of the teacher and be done with it? I think redefining the school system's behavior policy for disabled children is revenge enough -- sweet revenge since Boone will be the winner after all. I have a dingy but large office and he doesn't bother anybody -- well, not much anyway! Boone went to work with for the first year and a half of his life, actually. He was so quiet back then.... little did I know why. Sissi

That why you didn't have to deal with sitters you don't really trust like I do. Yep, Mark was the most perfect infant too, it was amazing. All he did was sleep, and when he was awake he was happy! I think he saved it for now. ;o) Tina w.
