Guest guest
I reached a milestone today........ I got out of the shower and the bath towel actually fit completely around me and I could tuck it in to stay there. Now, it is one of those big towels but I could not do that a couple months ago. Yeah. I also went to Walmart today and tried on some shoes....... guess what, I could actually bring my foot up and rest it on my other knee to change shoes. And, I could actully rested my ARM on the arm rest in my car....... Who would have ever thought these little things could be so exciting. I would LOVE to hear about all of your milestone stories. Guest guest
I HEAR YA!!!! We went to a water park a few weeks ago before my wound opened back up..I wrapped that beach towel around my waist and tied it..and at 240 I felt sexy to be able to walk around that way, cause at 400 there was not much that would go around my waist. Also I broke the armrest off the drivers side of the car because I was so big...but now on the passenger side I do not even touch the armrest anymore! feels GREAT! Guest guest
OMG! I remember Towel Day, too! Sniff. And the day I could actually move around a little in my seatbelt. And the day I moved my seat a little fwd and was not driving with the tips of my toenails any more. I encourage you to make a list of these and write the date. . . .these are the things that will keep our courage up when we hit plateaus or hard times. Yesterday, I slid across a booth seat so easily it startled me-no tummy touching : ) Support to all, Elaine in Maine
Guest guest
Smiling for you Janet. That's great. I haven't had too many yet. But I know they are just around the corner, because I am dropping pounds like crazy all of a sudden. I guess my first milestone is needing to buy a smaller pair of shoes. I was in a 10 for years and years, but the past few had been in an 11, which is now too big. Seems like you lose weight in the feet first. Good thing my daughter wears an 11, because the shoes I'm wearing I just bought about 6 weeks ago. I told her I get the new pair of shoes, and she can have mine. She was cool with it. Guest guest
congrats!! i remember being able to tuck in the towel and not having it open over most of my body! what a shock and joy!! also, the simple joys of being able to clip my own toenails was overwhelming! {{hugs}} > I reached a milestone today........
