Guest guest
I read this site often, my grandson Chase is in his 2nd. DOC band and doing great. Sorry I don't know of anyone who wants to sell a Bumbo seat, but you might try E-Bay. I've seen them for sale there. I bought one from Bumboseat.com. This is the best thing to give a new mom. As soon as the baby can hold their head up they can use this seat. Kids like it an it keeps them off their head. Billie Bumbo seat I am looking for a Bumbo Seat, and was wondering if anyone here had one they would like to sell? Or if you know of someone who doesn't use theres anymore. Thanks!AlisonFor more plagio info
Guest guest
Hi , I am not sure about the developmetnal aspect of the bumbo but I know that I wished I had bought one sooner. We got one at 8 months and my son loved it and was sitting 3 weeks after we started using it. We definitely plan on using it as soon as we are able when we have another baby. However i just looked up the bumbo seat on theinternet and i read to it keeps the hip flexers in acertain position. When we took her to CT 2 1/2 weeksago they told us along with her plagio/brachy and tortthat her hip flexers were tight and to try to work onthose when she was on her tummy. Does anyone now ifthe bumbo slow s down development. or am i just beingparanoid. I am a little nervous about her startingdaycare with the way here head is and I even workthere in the 4 year old room. I just want to doeverything possible for her. Guest guest
I totally understand your concerns about compliance with repo and daycare. My daughter has Tort (resolved) and Plagio. I did purchase a Bumbo seat for my daughter's care provider. I also worked with her on positioning, feeding , and stretching. The daycare is State certified so she could not put her to sleep any other way besides her back. We found ways around this by propping her in a swing and repositioning her so that she faced to the opposite direction of her flat spot when sleeping on her back. Of course that was a lot easier once gained full ROM. As far as the Bumbo goes, so far has been right on target with motor skills. We have been using it for six weeks. Hopefully this helps. If you still need to keep her upright, try to use a mini boppy pillow around the back of her neck. At least it will her head from resting against the back of the swing, bouny seat. Hope this helps.
