Guest guest
Hi all. As some of you know I'm in the process of putting together my appeal and have asked the ped's office for a copy of the letter of medical necessity. My husband just called saying the fax came through and the letter is only one paragraph. I'm very frustrated now. I thought my ped would have had more concern than a one paragraph letter! So i thought i'd check with everyone else and see what your ped did. You think she could have done at least a page long like others that are in " files " . I'm frustrated.... We are the ones proving WHY it is necessary, they are the ones who just have to state that it is necessary. I hope..that was my take on it. , mom to 7mos (starband 10/18/04)
Guest guest
My letter was very short....and very wrong, we are still waiting for a correct one to be sent to CT. It's too bad you can't just write your own and have the doctor sign it. LOL. & (soon to be DOCbanded....sometime this lifetime would be nice!) --- In Plagiocephaly , " cartersdoc " <mamagill@h...> wrote: > > Hi all. Guest guest
- Thanks, that does make some sense but you think they'd be in the boat with trying to help us prove the point even more aside from just " noting " that he needs it. Our denial reasons were for " cosmetic' and " not considered medically necessary " , well, with the letter that was sent, which basically only said with his age repositioning wouldn't help, i can see why it was denied! But i guess your right with they only need to say they need it. It's just frustrating because i don't think his ped. is offering much help to us anyway.... > > > > Hi all. Guest guest
I cannot wait until my husband comes home so i can actually see the letter (he read it to me over the phone). I'm already considering a new ped once this whole doc band ordeal is over. I've never been fully happy with them and i think this was my last straw. > > > > Hi all.
